Brooke Hill - Clinic director/Founder & Registered Psychotherapist

“I founded Hill Mental Health with a principled commitment to provide the best care for youth and families as they navigate educational, professional, and personal journeys. We specifically value and understand the importance of providing care in multiple languages and to diverse backgrounds and are committed to our patients success. I am a true education enthusiast, strongly believing that mental health is an ongoing learning process and its awareness is necessary to battle stigma.

My professional focus began with children and youth with learning and psychological challenges in learning contexts, such as ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Weak Executive Function, Anxiety & Stress. I have seen how supporting youth through their educational journey can set them up for success in life. I have also supported families through conflict and change.

My professional experience includes counselling for years in international hospital and educational settings as well as in clinics in Canada supporting individuals of all ages who are battling anxiety, depression, phobias, OCD, personality disorders, and more.  Along the way, I have learned the value of counselling to multilingual and diverse backgrounds with a focus on clients from South America, the US, and Canada (in both English and Spanish).

Taking the first step to improve your mental health can be difficult. Book a free 15-minute consultation call and let us help you reach your full potential and mental health.

"I deeply respect the courage and vulnerability it takes for you to seek out professional help through counselling. It would be my honour to support you on your therapeutic journey. My integrative, and culturally sensitive, approach to counselling, can be adapted to align with your individualized goals and beliefs. The counselling modality used in our sessions, is client-dependent, meaning, I will incorporate wide-ranging interventions which are modified to fit your specific needs. I value establishing a strong and secure therapeutic relationship with my clients, in a non-judgmental, genuine, and safe space.

I am passionate about ensuring clients feel heard, validated, and supported through warmth and positivity. I want to assist you in strengthening your understanding of yourself, developing patterns of behaviour which serve you, and helping you to achieve more fulfillment and harmony in your life. I hope we can facilitate positive change by applying innovative evidence-based techniques and interventions in conjunction with your insights and direction.

I recognize that pain, hardships, and challenging life circumstances can be overwhelming. Therefore, I am determined to provide any type of client (individuals of all ages, presenting with any kind of problem, from varying backgrounds), with an avenue to navigate these experiences meaningfully and constructively."

Somewhere along the way, many of us stop feeling at home in ourselves. We bend, shrink, and shape-shift to fit expectations, until one day, we hardly recognize the person we’ve become. I believe therapy is a space to find your way back.

Hi! I’m Sarah, a psychotherapist at Hill Mental Health. I am passionate about helping people reconnect with their authentic selves. When we feel disconnected from who we truly are, it can manifest in many ways – chronic anxiety, depression, perfectionism, fear of judgement, and struggles with self-worth. So much of the distress we experience stems from internalized narratives that tell us we need to be more, better, or different in order to be accepted.

My approach is rooted in narrative therapy, which means I help clients explore how past experiences have shaped their beliefs and sense of identity. But because healing looks different for everyone, I take an eclectic approach, integrating techniques like inner child work, values exploration, emotionally focused therapy, creative self-exploration through art techniques, and tools for distress tolerance and emotional regulation. My goal is to help you make sense of your experiences, reconnecting with your inner voice, and creating a life that feels more like your own.

I often work with individuals who, at some point in their life, have been in relationships that left them feeling disconnected from themselves, questioning their self-worth, struggling with low confidence or finding it difficult to trust again. Many of my clients also navigate heightened anxiety, identity struggles, major life transitions, and emotional dysregulation.

Therapy is a deeply personal journey, and finding the right fit is an essential part of the process that often gets overlooked. If you’re curious about working together, I invite you to book a free consultation – zero pressure, just a space to connect and see if this feels like a good match!

Brooke Jarrett- Registered Psychotherapist

"I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely seen and accepted for who you are, no matter where you are in your journey. A space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. There’s no rush to "fix" or "figure out" anything — instead, we’ll take the time needed to get to the heart of what’s keeping you feeling stuck, all while honoring your unique process.

As an integrative therapist, I specialize in blending approaches like Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, among other techniques and tools. I am passionate about supporting people in aligning with their most authentic selves, while also holding space for the challenges that come with it. My practice is neurodivergent-affirming and 2SLGBTQIA+ affirming, and I’m committed to anti-oppressive, culturally responsive care. It’s my mission to create a counseling environment where everyone’s unique intersectional identity is acknowledged and celebrated.

Some of the issues we can work on together include depression or anxiety, exploring gender and sexuality, improving your relationships, navigating difficult life transitions, finding purpose and meaning in life, learning coping skills, or simply exploring your thoughts and emotions. We can also work on discovering your innate strengths and passions to help you feel more aligned and grounded in who you are.

Whether you're here to dive deep into self-exploration and overcoming challenges, or just want to start gently dipping your toes into therapy, I’m here for it all. I truly believe that you are the expert of your own life, and I see my role as walking alongside you and working collaboratively to uncover what feels right for you. If you’re ready to explore what growth, healing, and authenticity might look like in your life, I would love to support you on that path.”
